Hack Windows Vista, XP, and 2000 passwords!

In this guide I will show you how to use a special Linux distro to reset any user’s password in Vista, XP, or 2000. It takes literally 5 minutes once you have the tools in place and works like a charm.

Warning! Use this guide only for retrieving your own windows password. Never use this to hack someone else’s computer. This guide shows you how to reset the password only – you will not be able to view the password you are resetting. Keep that in mind as well.

Step 1 – Gather the tools

You’re in luck. To hack windows passwords, you only need Trinity Rescue Kit, which is a small Linux distribution you can download here. It’s only about 100mb. After you finish downloading TRK (Trinity Rescue Kit), burn it to a CD and you’re ready to hack windows.

Step 2 – Hack Windows Password!

Insert Trinity Rescue Kit into the system you would like to hack. Make sure you set your system’s Boot Sequence to run from the CD. Let TRK load. Once it has loaded and you receive the prompt:

Type: winpass

TRK will now show all installations of Windows you have on your system. Choose the one you would like to hack. In my case, I only have one, so I selected:

1 and then hit Enter

You will now be edited the Administrator account. To change the password, type either the new password you want for this account or * to indicate that you would like to blank (or remove) the password currently restricting you from access to your system.

Y and then Enter to confirm the password change.

Password changed!

To hack a specific user’s password on the system, type (and replace matthew with whatever username you need to hack is):

winpass –u matthew

You are now editing the account. To change the password, type either the new password you want for this account or * to indicate that you would like to blank (or remove) the password currently restricting you from access to your system.

Y and then Enter to confirm the password change.

Password changed!

Now type in reboot to restart your computer!

Congratulations, you have now successfully hacked windows. If you encountered any problems during your hacking attempt, use the Trinity Rescue Forum to hopefully solve them.
